Aniimo Starters: Lunara vs Helion (What's Actually Confirmed)

Aniimo's two special starters (Lunara and Helion) compared honestly: what's officially documented, what's reported from the beta, and why the 'five starters' you've seen on YouTube isn't a thing.

✓ Closed Beta 2 verified

Read this first. Two creatures (Lunara and Helion) sit outside Aniimo’s numbered roster and are widely reported as the game’s special starters. The official index has no published page for either of them (its roster is exactly the 88 numbered Aniimo). So almost everything specific below is reported from the closed beta, not officially documented, and labelled that way.

Community = reported from CB2 play / outlets, not officially confirmed.

What’s actually confirmed

  • Aniimo’s official roster is 88 numbered Aniimo (NO.001 Emberpup → NO.088 Besauce) (Aniilog index).
  • Lunara and Helion are not in that numbered list. They’re the two extra “special starter” lines (often catalogued as #9997 and #9998) Community.
  • The official index returns no entry for Lunara, Helion or their evolutions, so their stats and kits aren’t officially published. Exact starter stats circulating online come from fan wikis, not Pawprint.

Lunara vs Helion: the reported picture

Everything in this table is reported from the beta (players + gaming outlets), consistent across sources but not officially confirmed Community:

LunaraHelion
ElementLightLight
RoleRanged DPSMelee DPS
Evolves toFennelunSoleon (alias “Blazing Sun Lion”)
Feelrange + kitingup-close burst

So the choice isn’t about element. Both are Light. It’s about how you like to deal damage: Lunara plays at range and evolves into Fennelun; Helion fights up close and evolves into Soleon. Roles are explained in the combat guide.

How the choice works (reported)

Beta players and outlets describe an opening-quest moment where you meet two talking Aniimo and choose which one to save. You keep the one you pick, and the other goes to your rival Community. It’s corroborated across multiple independent beta reports, so it’s plausibly real, but Pawprint hasn’t stated it, so treat it as reported, not locked.

”Five starters”? No.

If you’ve seen a video titled “all 5 starters explained,” that framing traces to a single fan video and isn’t official, and it contradicts what beta players actually describe, which is a two-creature choice (Lunara or Helion) Community. There’s no official basis for five starters, so we don’t repeat it.

Our take

Since neither starter is officially documented and both are Light DPS, you’re not locking yourself out of anything by picking on vibe: range (Lunara) or melee (Helion). Your long-term team is built from the full Aniilog anyway, where every numbered Aniimo’s element, role and stats are documented. The moment Pawprint publishes real starter pages, we’ll put verified stats here.
