Aniimo's January 29 Update Adds Egg Heist and Holo-Battle Interlink Modes

The January 29 patch debuts two new modes and trims grind costs across the board, with mail compensation for all players.

Servers came back online at 19:00 (UTC+8) on January 29, and the headline additions are two fresh modes. Egg Heist drops into the Lost Isles, where you can hunt rare Aniimo Eggs alone or square off against rival teams (our Egg Heist mode guide walks through the format step by step). It centers on a contest for the Giant Darkler Egg, which carries a chance at a previously unseen Darkler-form Aniimo. The second mode, Holo-Battle Interlink, takes place inside the Hall of Polaris Institute and supports solo or co-op runs; clearing Alpha Aniimo encounters there pays out points and rewards.

Beyond the new content, the patch noticeably eases the daily grind. Experience Gem shop prices drop by half, release refunds climb from 50% to 80%, and the Aniimo Discovery catch goal falls from 100 to 80. The Tumbler’s base capture multiplier doubles from 3x to 6x in high-density areas, and the mailbox claim cap rises from 100 to 200.

Editor’s take: taken together, these are squarely quality-of-life changes. Halved Gem prices, an 80% release refund, a lower Discovery goal, and a doubled capture rate all point the same direction, so players who found the catch-and-grind loop punishing should feel the difference immediately, and the new modes give that freed-up time somewhere to go.

Every player receives compensation by in-game mail within two hours of the reopening: 300 Glimmer, 200,000 Credit, and three Lightweight Backpacks.
