Aniimo has formally introduced itself to players, framing the project as a free-to-play action RPG built around open-world exploration and creature collection. Developed by Pawprint Studio and published by Kingsglory, the game centers on collecting and evolving creatures while the bonds between player and companion deepen over time.
The introduction highlights a standout mechanic the team calls the Twine feature, which lets a player merge with an Aniimo to unlock new abilities. Beyond that fusion system, the experience spans PVP battles and puzzle-solving woven through its open world, an online-connected design that requires an internet connection to play.
Looking ahead, Aniimo is slated for an official release in 2026, arriving on PC, Xbox, and mobile with cross-platform progress synchronization so accounts carry between devices. At launch it will support English, Chinese, and Japanese, with more languages under consideration.
For now, the studio is inviting players in early: a closed beta is currently running, and pre-registration is open through the official homepage. The developers describe the beta as a chance to help shape the game before it ships. If you want to get in, our step-by-step guide to securing closed beta access walks through how pre-registration works.
What this means for players (editor’s note): with a confirmed 2026 launch still on the horizon, this closed beta is the earliest hands-on window, so getting feedback in now is the most direct way testers can influence the game before release. Cross-platform progress synchronization also signals that any account you set up during this phase is built to carry across PC, Xbox, and mobile.
