Ahead of its Idyll closed beta, the Aniimo team published a “Survival Handbook” to brief testers before they set sail into its world of magic and adventure. The document frames the test as a summer camp and walks newcomers through everything from setup to support.
On the practical side, the handbook asks players to free up at least 30GB of storage (an SSD is preferred) and to lean on a stable connection, ideally 5GHz WiFi or a cable, while steering clear of VPNs. On first launch the game checks your device’s specs, and the team suggests closing background apps if memory runs tight. Access is open to players aged 12 and up. If you are still working out how to get in, our step-by-step Aniimo beta access guide walks through the same setup the handbook expects.
The guide also previews the gameplay. You befriend creature companions such as the fluffy Nimbi, Otti, and the shimmering Shelly, and can swap between two ways to fight: Command Mode for tactical, skill-driven coordination, and Twine Mode, where you transform into your Aniimo for real-time combos.
Finally, it points testers toward feedback channels: in-game customer service, a Discord server, and a “Stuck Report” tool in settings.
Editor’s take: the fact that the team bundled hardware prep, both combat modes, and three separate feedback routes into one document tells you what they want from this test. The “Stuck Report” tool sitting right in settings suggests they expect testers to actually file issues, so coming in with storage cleared and a stable line is the difference between playing and troubleshooting.
